IAT 320 Sketch Three

Mark Cheng , Bruce Wayne, Benita Kuo, Alan Song

For our final Sketch, we are going do to a Google hat. Since I am a media art student, my main responsibility is to help mark test out the hat, get the users’ feed back and do the documentary video.

The hat is working fine, but the hand gesture is a little wired when we want to turn right, We will have to ask Profs for more opinions. Mark installed the Adruino on to my hat, the wires looks awesome, the hat looks like is from the future.

Today Greg talked about using the feed across for turning, but it still feeds a little weird, plus, it is going to be very hard for us to connect wires from head to toe all the way, so during the group meeting, we vote not to do that. So mark thought about installing a force sensor on the edge of the hat. When the user tile his head, it will turn left or right.

It is almost the due date, I have to run some user testings, I asked my friends to try out the hat, they all think is pretty awesome, they did not give some any useful feed backs rather then ” oh this hat is cool”.

Mark said it is not needed to have a touch sensor for turning, we can just tile our head to turn, during our group meeting, we couldn’t not decided, so we ‘ll just ask jinsil and greg what do they think.

Tomorrow is the final presentation, my documentary video is not not yet done, i still need do film some part with mark, but the rest of the video looks awesome.
